When did he learn how to lie so well?

Ok, so it's not funny at all that your child learns to lie. I am not condoning that kind of behavior. However, it is still going to happen, and it still can be funny at times. The art of a skilled parent is to learn to discipline first, laugh later when the child isn't looking.
Example: We are hanging out with our great friends (who don't have a blog, but note to self: convince them to get one) who have 2 kids of their own. Serena who is 8 and Eli who is 3. Caed and Eli seem to play fairly well with a couple scuffs here and there. They are boys, this is bound to happen. We hear them playing loudly like usual and the proceed to hear running up the basement stairs. We also hear a door slam and screaming on the other side of the shut door. Then the sound of running frantically into the living room where we are all talking. We see Caed run around the corner, stop, and say in a just-lost-your-breath-from-running-so-hard sort of way, " I have NO Idea what just happened in there." Yeah, sure, Caed. We believe you.
